Inspiring the next generation of railway workers and advocates for rail
In 27 September 1825, the world’s first passenger train carried over 400 people along the Stockton and Darlington Railway.
With a focus on inspiring the next generation, Railway 200 is the rail industry’s plan to celebrate 200 years of train travel in 2025, through a year-long programme of activities, partnerships and events, including the mobile exhibition train.
GBRTT is honoured to be part of this project, with the national coordinating team sitting within our organisation.
